Jacqui Lambie MP continues to speak out about Eden’s Story
Nearly 10 years have passed since 15-year-old Eden Westbrook was found dead in St Helens, Tasmania—but the questions remain. In this powerful speech, Senator Jacqui Lambie lays bare the shocking failures in the investigation of Eden’s death. Despite the official claim of suicide, mounting evidence—including eyewitness testimony, missing autopsy photos, and crucial mishandled evidence like the unbagged rope—suggests that Eden may have been murdered. Senator Lambie details how the police investigation was riddled with incompetence: forensic failures, a refusal to secure and properly analyse evidence, and an outdated coronial system that leaves families without answers.
Citing disturbing inconsistencies, such as Eden’s unexplained bruising and shattered teeth reported by her sisters, she demands that Tasmanian authorities finally provide the long-awaited autopsy photos and clarify the fate of the rope—a piece of evidence that could change everything. With a call for an independent inquest and full accountability from those responsible, Lambie vows that if she is proven wrong, she will apologise. But if the truth stands, resignations and justice must follow. Join the conversation on this critical case and help shine a light on the pursuit of truth and accountability for Eden Westbrook.
Jacqui’s Previous Parliamentary Speeches…
Eden's life, which was tragically cut short in 2015, has garnered national attention due to concerns about the initial police ruling of suicide. In her heartfelt speech, Senator Lambie points out the discrepancies in the investigation into Eden's death, suggesting a potential cover-up by some members of Tasmania Police. Despite evidence indicating foul play, such as witness testimonies and forensic concerns, authorities have failed to provide answers to Eden's grieving family.
